Traitor is the fifth episode of the Indian Amazon Prime Video series Citadel: Honey Bunny. The episode was released on November 6, 2024.

Synopsis[]

1992: Honey’s world is turned upside down when she discovers the agency she once trusted is not who they claim to be, forcing her to take a drastic step, risking everyone’s lives. 2000: Bunny plots Honey’s next step, as drastic as the one she took in the past.

Plot Summary[]

In 1992, Chacko and Ludo head back to India after completing the Belgrade mission. Vishwa reveals his sinister plans for the Armada: to create a weapons and surveillance program to eliminate those who oppose his worldview.

In 2000, Ludo confides in Bunny and Chacko that he blindly rejoined Vishwa’s operations out of loyalty after they left. Bunny attributes the mistakes of their past to misplaced loyalty. Meanwhile, at the palace in South India, Nadia watches movie tapes, hoping to catch a glimpse of Bunny. Honey decides to confront her bedridden father. She tells him she’s raising Nadia to fight men like him, scaring him by pretending to smother him with a pillow before leaving. Honey entrusts Nadia’s care to her brother Pratap, explaining she needs to face Vishwa. Nadia is upset but reluctantly lets her mother go.

Bunny, Chacko, and Ludo break into a Citadel tech facility to check if Honey has contacted them. Although they find no record of her call, Bunny remains confident she will reach out. Honey eventually contacts Shaan, offering to exchange the Armada for protection. The two arrange to meet at 2 p.m., with Bunny and his team secretly listening to their conversation.

In a flashback to 1992, Honey, Bunny, and Vishwa are in a car together when Shaan and Citadel agents locate them via a tracker on Honey. A car chase ensues, and during the chaos, Honey escapes with the Armada. Bunny stops Vishwa from shooting her, leading Vishwa to dismiss him from the mission. Bunny pursues Honey and threatens to shoot her, but she reveals she is pregnant, rendering him unable to harm her.

Vishwa sends KD after Honey, who hijacks a civilian’s car to escape. KD shoots at the vehicle, causing it to explode. Everyone, including Bunny, believes Honey and the Armada have been destroyed. Citadel arrests Vishwa, and Zooni confronts him, accusing him of murdering her husband, the head of Citadel. However, Vishwa denies having the Armada, leaving Zooni unsettled.

In 2000, Vishwa meets with his partners and an Italian arms dealer named Ettore Zani, who wishes to join the Foundation. These same partners orchestrated Vishwa’s escape from Citadel custody eight years prior.

Honey goes to meet Citadel as planned but finds Bunny waiting for her instead. They fight, but Bunny convinces her that Citadel is compromised and unsafe. He reveals that there is a traitor within Citadel who helped Vishwa escape. Honey reluctantly agrees to leave with Bunny, and they return to his hideout, where she has an awkward reunion with Chako and Ludo, who still harbor resentment toward her.

Ludo tracks the person secretly communicating with Vishwa from inside Citadel. At the end of the episode, an image of the traitor is revealed.
