Play is the sixth and final episode of the Indian Amazon Prime Video series Citadel: Honey Bunny. The episode was released on November 6, 2024.
Synopsis[]
2000: As things come to a head, Honey and Bunny join forces to unleash their full might, fighting for love, family, and their daughter's future. As KD decides to take matters into his own hands, the ensuing battle tests their resilience, leaving the future uncertain.
Plot Summary[]
In 2000, Bunny asks why Honey never told him she was alive. Honey admits she couldn’t trust him because of his loyalty to Vishwa. She tells Bunny about Nadia. Before leaving, Bunny bids farewell to his friends, and Ludo gives Honey two phones so she and Nadia can stay connected.
In 1999, Vishwa, held in the Citadel detention center, speaks with Zooni. He claims he never betrayed her husband, Rinzy. According to Vishwa, Rinzy failed to meet him at a rendezvous, and Citadel branded him a traitor. Vishwa explains that he and Rinzy had planned to create a new organization—what would become the Foundation—because they disagreed with Citadel’s loyalty-only doctrine. He leads Zooni to a locker containing photographs of those working on the Foundation’s creation.
In 2000, Honey meets Shaan at a café and reveals that the Citadel traitor is Zooni. She provides proof on a CD. Shaan confronts Zooni at Citadel and has her taken to a holding cell.
Meanwhile, Vishwa is at an orphanage, giving a speech to young boys similar to the one he gave Bunny years ago. Bunny confronts him with a gun, bringing the Armada with him. He destroys the device, rejecting Vishwa’s vision of controlling the world. Bunny leaves Vishwa alive but warns him to stay away from his family.
KD appears at Chacko’s house, snooping on his computer. Chacko’s wife catches him, but KD later informs Nakul that he has found Ludo’s address. Despite Vishwa’s order to stand down, KD insists on finishing the job.
Back in South India, Nadia is playing with a gun when Bunny and Honey enter the room. Honey introduces Nadia to Bunny, who reluctantly gives him a high five. They all watch a movie featuring both Honey and Bunny, and Nadia asks if their "play mode" is over.
In Mumbai, Ludo destroys his equipment and escapes his hideout before KD and his men arrive. However, KD’s men track Honey’s satellite phone, leading to an impending attack. Ludo warns Bunny, and they prepare for battle. At the palace, Honey’s brother hides Nadia in an outhouse while the complex is invaded. Honey and Bunny team up, fighting off KD’s men. Honey is shot by Nakul but manages to stab him fatally. Bunny decides they must escape with Nadia.
As they flee, their car is pursued, forcing another fight. With more enemies approaching, Bunny chooses to stay behind to give Honey and Nadia a chance to escape. KD confronts Bunny, and the two fight, injuring each other. During their standoff, Bunny reveals the falsity of Vishwa’s supposed hospitality, including fake relationships and loyalty tests. This revelation seems to change KD, who lets Bunny go before reinforcements arrive.
Bunny walks away but stops in his tracks. Honey and Nadia wait for him, while KD collapses.
