Gabriele Donati is a character in the Italian Prime Video series, Citadel: Diana. He is portrayed by Filippo Nigro. Gabriele is a Citadel agent and Diana's mentor.
Official Biography[]
He is the Citadel agent who trains Diana for her undercover mission and is her only contact with Citadel. He notices Diana when he comes close to discovering the truth about her parents’ death in an airplane crash. Gabriele recognizes her potential and proposes that she join Citadel, to investigate the organization that the Zanis and other powerful European families are creating. Hard and sometimes gruff, but always human, Gabriele teaches Diana to control her emotions and bury them deep inside herself, to survive in her undercover mission. Those teachings will help Diana resist, alone, inside Manticore even after the fall of Citadel.[1]

Gabriele is a Citadel agent who recruits Diana. He reveals to Diana that her parents’ plane crash was orchestrated by Zani Manufacturing, sparking her desire for revenge and setting her on a collision course with the Zanis.
Throughout the season, Gabriele provides Diana with intelligence about Manticore’s activities, including information about her family's past and hints about other agents involved. He maintains communication with Diana while ensuring his own identity and agenda stay concealed from Manticore. Toward the end of the season, Gabriele confronts Diana, forcing her to decide whether to align with him and Citadel or stay with Edo and Manticore.
