Anthony Russo is an American filmmaker born on February 3, 1970, in Cleveland, Ohio. Along with his brother, Joe Russo, he is best known for co-directing several Marvel Cinematic Universe films, including Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame.
Before his work in the MCU, Russo started his career as a director on the TV series Arrested Development, and later co-created the series Community. In addition to his work in film and television, Russo has also directed commercials and music videos. He has received numerous awards and nominations for his work, including several Emmy Awards for his work on Arrested Development and Community, and an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture for his work on Avengers: Endgame.
