Alex Moreau is a French Manticore agent involved in a mission alongside German agent Rainer Weber. During a covert meeting, Moreau and Weber sit together at a table, discussing their plans, with Moreau boasting about the devastating impact their operation will have. This mission involves two mysterious devices that both men place on the table, and it becomes clear they are working with advanced Citadel technology that poses a direct threat to Manticore Italy. Suddenly, Weber pulls a gun and fires, aiming at Luca, Diana’s partner. However, the bullet ricochets off Luca's jacket and hits Moreau, seriously injuring him. As chaos ensues, Diana and Luca engage in a gunfight with Weber, while panicked bystanders flee the scene. In the confusion, Diana retrieves Moreau’s device before fleeing the location with Luca.
Following the incident, it’s revealed that Moreau’s device is a potential data carrier, possibly containing valuable information or technology related to the Citadel project. Manticore headquarters is informed that Moreau was fatally shot.
